Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish actress and model. After making her debut in a feature film with a small part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she went on to play anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan Doovan played Charlotte on Taffin in 1988, and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Photographer approached Doody Doody decided to take up modeling and subsequently an industry-related career in modelling. Doody tried to stay clear of the glamour of nude roles which was a principle she applied in her acting. Having come to the attention of the director who cast a new James Bond film she accepted the role of Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was selected as one of the top twelve promising young actors in the year 1986 by John Willis Screen World. 38. Only 18 years old as she played the role Doody was, and still is one of the smallest Bond girl that has ever appeared. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a film from the beginning where Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody was a silent actor in the 1987 version from The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. The Storyteller episode from 1988 featured her in the lead character of Sapsorrow and was portrayed by John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress acted alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before taking probably her most high-profile part to date in the role of Austrian Nazi-sympathiser as well as archaeologist The Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as a co-star with Harrison Ford. Doody was in the film with Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. Doody played co-starring in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British mini-series Selling Hitler, which was in the spirit of a publication scam named The Hitler Diaries. When she moved to Hollywood Doody was famous. She took over Cybill Shepherd in the L'Oreal spokesperson's character. Then she played Flannery Sheen's wife and agent, opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II was released in 1994. Doody was part of The 2003 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine played her in a ceremony in recognition of an award. In 2004, she starred with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She was also as a character in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 booklet on the Holocaust. Doody was cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). The Clinic, a medical drama that aired on RTE. The Asphyx was the remake she made in 2011. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. The show also featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). On 21 November 2018 she was honored by the Almeria tierra de cine award and was awarded an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
